Okoh said the readiness to unlock the values of the 12 hydropower plants provided another opportunity for the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and the BPE to work together.

He tasked the 13-member committee from relevant federal ministries, the BPE and other stakeholders to ensure transparency of transactions, provide a means to effectively collect information on assets, among others.
Okoh said the committee should review the eight new small hydropower plants in accordance with guidelines from the Infrastructure Regulatory and Concessions Commission and BPE’s processes and procedures.
